Accessibility

We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. This statement is based on automatic measures on the generated site; it is not an audit by an external body.

What is in place

• The language of each page is declared, and each page has one main heading.
• A link lets keyboard users skip to the content; the page has landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a visible focus.
• Images have a text alternative taken from the title of the activity or project; decorative placeholders are hidden from screen readers.
• Text contrast is at least 4.5 to 1, in light and in dark mode; the site follows the reduced motion setting.
• No cookies and no advertising; videos load only when you click.
• Form fields have labels.

Known limits

• Navigation by keyboard only and with screen readers has not yet been tested by people; this will be done and the result published here.
• Titles and descriptions of activities, games, hardware and publications are in English only. Documents and websites of third parties, linked from the pages, may not be accessible.
• There is no easy-to-read version of the site yet.
